It could be a long season...

After 7 minutes of the first game of the season, BOOM, captain Mats Sundin is gone for 4-8 weeks with a busted face - more specifically, a broken orbital bone below his left eye. Of all the injury questions that were raised for this season, nobody saw this one coming. Hopefully the other guys can pick up the slack.

No offense to Tie Domi, but he really needs to step up and contribute to show that he was worth that contract. I know it has only been one game, but I wanna see that drive, hustle and toughness that made Domi so effective the last time playoffs were held.

Leafs looked "ok" in game 1, a 3-2 shootout loss to the "evil" Sens, who didn't look anything like previous years. Even Alfie looked different, in that he came through in the clutch - though if that continues into the playoffs.... we will see.
