A downer sort of day

So I haven't posted in a while - seems to be the norm around here. Anyways...

I'm a little down today. Things didn't go great at a meeting today, and I started feeling a little overwhelmed at work. Lots of things going on, not a lot of time. But right now, I am going to let that stuff go and relax a bit.

In other news, the Canadian men's hockey team got booted in the quarter finals today vs. Russia. I can't say I'm surprised - they played terribly. This team was selected on past merit, and the players who attended were not the best that this country has to offer. However, the part that cost them was their inability to adapt to what other teams tried to do. That, and they couldn't score. When you get shut out 2-0 in three of your last four games, you don't really deserve to keep playing.

Lots of medals today, though. Let's hear it for our women, who brought home two golds and two silvers today in speedskating and cross-country skiing!!!
