Suddenly February

Another month rolls past in the new year of 2006. Seems like it was just yesterday I was ringing in the new year, and just the day before that I was in Barbados living it up.

Now I'm chained to my desk working on report after report. Funny how life is sometimes.

Fearless prediction: we will have a big snowstorm before Feb. 17. I know this because I will be in the field Feb. 10 - 17 or some permutation thereof. And of course, it would be nice to have some snow instead of having to look at dead grass all winter long. I'm starting to understand how the people on the west coast feel. Snow isn't as depressing as rain, especially when everything is already dead.
